I have trouble getting my curly hair to stay up in updos. My hair is fine, but curly and I have a lot of it. It was recommended to me to try this AG Spray gel because it is suppose to create long lasting, flexible hold and shine. It is sticky like a gel and does not seem to do its job unless you apply a load of product (which will create the 'gel look'). It didn't work for me, but maybe it will work for someone else. Also there is quite a smell to it, that seems pleasant at first but I found to be increasingly annoying since it doesn't seem to dissipate. It is also suppose to provide thermal protection against heat, but I never used it with an iron.
