This is a really nice little lapelier microphone for anyone using their smartphone to record videos. While smartphone cameras have come a long way, audio is still lagging behind and for Youtube videos (unboxing, vlogging, interviews etc) an external mic is required to get good quality audio!

The bad news is that the Alemon microphone can sound a little echoey on the vocals at time if you listen very carefully, but the good features far outweight that nitpick!

This mic is a huuuuuge improvement over the basic sound recording a smartphone does, it worked perfectly with my LG G3, just by plugging it into the audio jack. I was delighted to find there weren't any audio pops or staticky sound like with my base microphone and the sound was overall nice loud and clear for the most part. For the price, this is a great option for anyone getting into the world of vlogging or video reviews. The lavelier clip can be a little stiff, but I love that it clips on to essentially any shirt and at that distance picks up vocals perfectly.

Due to the fact that this plugs into the audio jack, you must unplug it to listen to the audio after you're done recording, or the phone will act like headphones are plugged in.

Overall, a great mic at this low price point for anyone who finds their smartphone audio just isn't cutting it.
