This a meh for me lucky it just a sample. I found that it didn't really even out my skin tone. I tried many thin layers but I found it just got cakey. I tried just 1-2 thin layers but really buffing it but it didn't really do anything. I tried buffing it less which also didn't do anything. I was even using their round top kabuki! I also found it harder to spot conceal with this type of foundation, if i conceal before foundation it gets all buffed off, and if I conceal after foundation I found my liquid based conceal kindof cakes up with the powder foundation.

The price was great and I really wanted to like the product but maybe I just fail at mineral makeup.

I order this off of everydayminerals.com. First off, let me tell you that the customer service is great. My order always arrives really fast, and if there is ANYTHING you are not satisfied with, just let them know and they will take care of it! Plus you get to choose some free goodies with every order, who doesn't love that?! :)

I like the matte formula, as I have very oily skin. I find that the intensive formula starts to get greasy throughout the day, and the other formulas have a bit of glimmer in them which I don't like.

I use a kabuki brush to apply my foundation, and it works best if you do it in light layers or else it will start to look cakey. As for coverage, it's not great for covering up acne scarring and blemishes, but its the perfect amount of coverage for evening out any redness, in your skin tone. I also find that it works well for undereye concealing. I find the best way is to use a concealer under this foundation if you want flawless skin. (I use Rev lon Colorstay Blemish Concealer.) The finish is amazing! You can barely tell you have anything on your skin, it looks sooo natural. I used to get compliments on how nice my skin was, and I had really bad acne but apparently no one could tell I was wearing makeup! You can't feel it on either, it's very light.

The price is great. I believe it is about $11CAD for a large container of foundation which will last a while. EVerydayminerals.com recently stopped doing their custom sets, where you could choose what you wanted in a large set...which is really lame. I'm very disappointed about that, but I still love the product and will continue to buy it.

Amazing foundation. Mineral make-up is the way to go, and Everyday Minerals is my go-to brand. Price is reasonable and product works well. Light feeling with awesome coverage.

I tried out all the finishes of the base. There is intensive (slightly heavier coverage, matte finish), matte (medium coverage, matte), semi matte (medium coverage, has a sheen to it), original glow (more for dry skin, has a sheen, light coverage).
I tried. I really really tried to love this mineral makeup. I don't know if it is because my skin is too oily or if it's just not the right kind of mineral makeup for me, but I am not a fan.
The Everyday Minerals just doesn't sit right on me. After about 2-3 hours of wearing the makeup, I have nothing left on my nose and forehead, and my cheeks, the side of my nose and chin just have blotches of makeup on them. You can literally SEE the blotches. I've never experienced that before.
I use the oil absorbing kaolin clay finishing powder over top - but find it does nothing. It actually makes me feel like I'm wearing clay. I know it sounds insane, but to raise my eyebrows, my forehead feels heavy, like I'm wearing a clay mask.
Overall, I think Everyday minerals is a great product. Great prices, adorable packaging, it's awesome that you can purchase sample sizes, cheap delivery, and a nice short ingredient list. I just find it is not the right makeup for me. I think a lot of people love it, and its looks awesome on a lot of people, it's just not for me.

I heard about this mineral makeup online while researching a foundation that had good coverage, was good for oily acne prone skin, & was light for the summer months when you really don't want something heavy on your skin in hot humid weather. I am a die hard fan of M.A.C products and have been using their studio fix for the last 15 years, which I love but it is a little heavy for summer wear. Everyday minerals offers a sample kit for just $4.00 to pay for shipping which was incredible. You have a choice of 3 base colors for your foundation (lots to choose from a pretty hard to find the right color) 1 concealer, and 1 blush. I also added a sample of their kaolin powder for $2.50 that is made with clay and is supposed to control oil (you wear this under the foundation) the kaolin powder doesn't seem to have any effect on oil control for me. Out of the 3 base colors 1 of them was pretty good match. The coverage however is not very good, I would say it is more sheer (this is in the matte series which is supposed to offer good coverage) It does leave a powdery look to the skin so you can definitely see you are wearing makeup. When my skin does start to oil up the makeup does cake a bit. The concealer is made of the same ingredients as the foundation (I choose the multi tasking one) this didn't work at all. I did really like the blush which I choose in "new car smell" It is a nice peachy color that gives your cheeks a nice natural glow with just a bit of shimmer. I didn't have any reaction to these products at all, and I usually break out like crazy anytime I try something new on my skin. That was a plus. The samples are a fair size, enough that you can give them a good try. Overall I would say these products are just OK probably better for someone that doesn't have oily or combination skin, and is not looking for a lot of coverage. Definitely worth a try considering they are free.

I'm not sure if i love or hate this product. The price is great, i get 6 full size jars, plus samples, plus free gifts for the same price as my Laura Mercier mineral foundation. There are different formula, great color selection and also a great website in general. I feel that i break out less when i use this. And this also doesn't contain Bismuth Oxycholride, so when i get sweaty, i don't itch. The color i have is Buttered, and i use the Matte formula. I can say the color matches me quite well. On the down side, this mineral make up is quite dry and accentuates the dryness. It also doesn't cover as much as i'd like. It's also a harder formula to work with.
While i love the price, packaging, perks, and that it doesn't break me out. It does take time to apply and doesn't give as good of a coverage. So i use this daily as a work and quick foundation when i'm not crazy about having a totally polished face.

I have tried seven or more mineral makeups--many send sample for not much cost, and some places charge no shipping for samples.

Nearly all the samples I received were in tiny plastic bags that made it nearly impossible to get the product out.

Everyday Minerals, for $2.50, sends a large amount in a sturdy plastic jar. The colors for foundation, shadow, blush, finishing powder, and concealor give you a large variation of colors to choose from.

The main difference between Everyday Minerals and all the others I have tried is that the products are so finely milled--such tiny particles--that coverage is smooth and sleek and takes very litle product. Also, because of the fineness of the powders, the pigment is quite intense and you only need a small amount to achieve results.

The prices are so much less than any other mineral makeup I have tried, that I can easily build my collection, and the samples are huge.

Their brushes are magnificent. I previously paid a fortune for sable and other animal fur brushes from an eyeliner brush to the largest brush of all. Nearly all of them shed all over my face, even after using some for a year---I kept trying as I was determined to win the shedding game! No luck.

Some brushes kept rinsing out with dark pigment even after dozens of washings.

Also, the long-handled Kabuki brush mentioned by another reviewer as costing $10, is available for $6 with the shorter handle. Same exact size brush on top. And I prefer the shorter handle for swirling the foundation around my face.

The packaging is superb. Nearly every other container from other companies chipped and splintered and broke off in pieces after a short time. Everyday Minerals has sturdy tops and bottoms, and the medium and larger sizes have the plastic screen holding the makeup down.

Don't remove the plastic screen right away because the containers are bursting with product, and you will surely spill quite a bit.

They often send free samples--at Xmas, I got two full size blushes for free--huge 6 g sizes, and two medium size eyeshadows, 2.5 g.

Nearly every time I order, they include a surprise, or some special is offered on the site.

The packages arrive in a few days with normal shipping.

This is the finest makeup and the best value I have tried. The only problem is that you must be sure to use very little product, especially if you use their brushes which are synthetic with the finest softest hair, they hold a lot of makeup--a second reason to start with a tiny amount and the third reason is the deep pigmentation--careful with the blush: you can look like a clown in an instant.

They have a huge variety of blushes and finishing powders to choose from, including, rice powder. The darker finishing powders are the finest milled of all the makeups and provides a wonderful sheen over foundation--with or without color.

I should add that my skin is combination and can become very oily, but this makeup controls the oil all day. I am also terribly acne prone, and never had breakouts with Everyday Minerals, which I did with some other MMU's.

Probably best of all is that their concealors are different from their foundations---most other MMU's use the same forumla. And, again, they offer a great variety of shades.

Hope you will take a chance on this terrific makeup and wonderful value.
