Maybelline didn't do their best with this one

I love Maybelline but these two colors out of the line were horrible. It applies patchy because it's not opaque, & it's not buildable. It just looks messy and horrible on its own. BUT with a liner it helps to make the lipsticks wearable!!!! I almost returned the product but I decided that since the liner helps 1000%, I'll just apply it that way. As you can see in the photos, I filled in my lips completely with the liner before applying! It's literally the only way you can wear this product. These colors do stain lips without the liner. I did hear that the other colors in the line are fine, but I'm good on trying them. I'm okay with just these two. I purchased on Amazon for about $3 each. If you don't mind applying liner then I recommend you try them. I love vampy lips that's why I chose these, & I do love the colors itself.

Vivid hot lacquer lip gloss

I receive this product for free in exchange for my review. It’s very glossy, but dries matt. Once it wears off after a few hours, the gloss leaves a dry residue ring around my lips. I would pass on this if you have other lip glosses. The lipgloss tip was folded in half when I received the product, hence the application was a bit hard to apply on the lips.

Smudgy, Sticky and Patchy

I was really disappointed in this product. The coverage is terrible unless you apply a lot. If you do it is sticky and smudges very easily. It is NOT matte. The colours were also not very pigmented and transfers easily onto food and glasses. You will need to reapply multiple times.

I bought this lipstick in the shade 50 Possesed Plum. I've been in search of the perfect dark purple liquid lipstick and it looks like I still have to keep searching :(. I wouldn't even call this a lipstick it's more of a lipgloss, a very clumpy, highly perfumed lipgloss. Very disappointed.

I love a great matte lip and add this gorgeous shade of red and you’d think it would be a home run. No No No in my Destiny’s Child voice. Maybelline color sensational Vivid Matte liquid lipstick left me scratching my head,the first thing I noticed was a strong fragrance almost like I’d sprayed perfume on my lips,the second thing I noticed was the matte was not a true matte it was a little glossy even after leaving it on a while. I also noticed some stinging I’m assuming it was due to the crazy amount of fragrance added to this product. This particular shade of red looks very similar to a Stila lip cream that I’m in love with which excited me, but once I applied Maybelline Vivid Matte I found this red was not at all flattering to my brown skin. And lastly this left me #afraid to try any new Maybelline lip products.

A quick look at this, their colour selection is amazing and you get a good amount of product for what you're paying.
However having tried this, this is not transfer proof in the slighest bit or matte in the slightest bit. This rubs off if your hair even touches your mouth and smears all over.

I loved the colours and really wanted to love these.

The color is beautiful, but it doesn't dry at all and it's streaky. When you put more on to cover up the streakiness it only gets sticky and the fragrance is really strong.

I bought this product when it was on sale so I'm not as dissapointed as I would have been if I paid full price. I have this in the colour Possesed Plum, it goes on unevenly and the product can't be layered without making a patchy mess. I find the formula to be fairly good when it comes to not drying out my lips and the applicator is nice my main problem is the colour pigment and formula.

I was looking for a inexpensive matte lipstick and decided to get the Vivid Matte Liquid in Nude Flush. The colour is nice and applies smoothly. But unfortunately the lipstick is not as matte as the name implies as I can see a very subtle shine after application. I also did not like the strong scent and the fact that the applicator give you way more product than you need on your lips. All in all, for the price you pay, I think it's a good alternative to the high-end liquid matte lipsticks.

This product in Berry Boost was incredibly disappointing to me. While the colour is vivid, this is due more to the shade than the product itself as it did not apply evenly, faded quickly and patchily. It is definitely not matte, as it never completely dries and thus stays slightly shiny throughout the day. Also, like many other liquid lipsticks, it is incredibly drying, causing my lips to flake and contributing to the patchy look throughout the day. For a similar colour, I would recommend essence's long- lasting lipstick in Blush My Lips which is much longer lasting and applies more evenly.
