good powder
I have used this powder for a couple of years and I love how natural it makes me look even just applying this over moisturizer. This is a really good drugstore product if you're not looking to spend a buck load of money
My HG powder foundation
I've been repurchasing this powder foundation forever. It's the perfect shade and blends effortlessly. I wear it over the top of liquid foundation and I find that it lasts all day.
Really not good
I have dry skin and this powder really emphasizes the dryness on my face. After applying it you can see the layer of powder on top of the skin. For the price you can get two of the Maybelline Fit Me powder. Way better and doesn't look like you are wearing it. Unfortunately I do not recommend this product.
I use this powder to set my foundation, which is also Revlon ColorStay. The two work so well together.
This powder provides just the right amount of coverage, and is light enough that it sits on top of my face, allowing my foundation to set and do its job. It is not cakey at all, unless you use too much, which is really hard, the puff that is included is what you should use to apply, I find if I apply with a brush, I get too much on and it looks packed on and then my face looks dried out.
Great powder , great colors, stays all day and keeps the oil away which is a plus. Doesn't look cakey as some powders so, looks natural matte. I recommend to any woman looking for a Great powder.
If you're looking for an inexpensive setting/blotting powder, this is for you. I like to use this powder to set my foundation. It gives a really like matte finish without looking cakey. If you're looking for a powder that is going to give you coverage, you won't get it with this powder though which is fine by me.
Part of the daily routine! It has worked just as well as some of the MAC products. I've been really happy with the coverage; you don't need to layer on the makeup in order to hide any imperfections and blemishes.
I had been looking for a matifying powder foundation for several months now. I have combination/oily skin and all the other products I've tried recently did nothing for me. I came across this product by chance and decided to try it. I was quite surprised to see how effective this foundation is (stays matte several hours). The texture is also very light which, unlike other products, does not feel like you're wearing a mask.
This powder has light coverage, I don't think it'd be enough on its own to cover any blemishes. It may be able to diminish the look of very minor problems, but other than that I don't think it'll do much on its own. However, over foundation I noticed that it did provide a little extra coverage. It hasn't become too cakey or too powdery on me and controls shine quite well. I had tried this with my MUFE Mat Velvet sample and didn't notice any difference, however MV usually does that job perfectly alone. Then, I tested this powder with my MUFE HD Foundation, which after a few hours tends to become oily on me. After approximately 10 hours, I didn't have any excess oil or shine, however I did notice that my make up looked a bit as if it was "breaking down". (Something I probably wouldn't even of noticed if not for looking for it.)
This powder didn't and hasn't broken me out and has worked really well for controlling shine. However, despite it being an overall good powder, as I said before, it's nothing that really jumps out at me.
If a setting powder alone was what I'm looking for, I'd be happy to give this powder 4-5 stars. Even though it is a good powder, based on what I wanted from it and what I didn't get is what resulted in the 3/5 I've given it. However, if shine control is what you want, I would highly recommend this powder.
i haven't had much luck with many revlon face products, but i really love this stuff. it gives me such flawless coverage. goes on smoothly and isn't cakey, doesn't feel heavy. it doubles well as a powder foundation. i've hit pan already and will definetely be repurchasing.
