At first I hated this mascara, as I thought it was clumpy, and there was waay too much mascara on the wand. But after wiping the wand thoroughly, the wand is more usable. The bristle part is very volumizing, and the comb part can be used to separate any clumps, so using this method, it is possible to get very volumized lashes, with minimal clumps. You do have to get used to the brush, and not poke yourself, as the wand is very wide, but it gives very beautiful results.
I'm surprised by the negative comments on this mascara. I didn't look at any reviews before picking this one up (Blackest Black shade, regular formula) and I have to say I'm glad I didn't, otherwise I might not have bought this mascara! It made my lashes look full and defined instantly, giving the volume in 45 seconds what it literally took 45 minutes for me to do with Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping, Revlon Fabulash, Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme, L'Oreal Voluminous (the one with collagen...forget the name,) DiorShow and all others I've tried. It is a thick heavy mascara, but it works for me. I guess mascara's like foundation or perfume...each formula acts differently on each woman. Each to her own. I for one am glad I found Doubletwist.
This mascara is simply INCREDIBLE. I bought it when it came on sale for a good price and it was so worth it. This mascara lifts each eyelash and lengthens. It increases the volume of each lash and doesn't smudge even when you wear it all day in the heat (and I'm from Texas). It has never clumped in all the times I've worn it and clumps are usually my main concern. Even after I wash it off completely, my eyelashes look visibly thicker and healthier for weeks! So, it's good for you, too, and doesn't leave dark circles around your eyes when you wash it off either! I would definitely recommend this to anyone, anywhere, anytime!
Awful! What a let-down!
The formula is dry and clumpy - it practically goes on flaky and doesn't stand a chance if you plan on blinking during your day!
The brush is a nightmare. Longer bristles are so far apart and so much longer than the combs in-between that the brush comes out of the tube caked in mascara, making it impossible to apply a smooth coat!
Save your money!
This mascara was a HUGE disappointment! The formula itself isn't bad - but the brush is a nightmare!! The large red plastic comb outside the bristles doesn't do anything but cause a mess, and left my lashes a clumpy and spidery looking! I don't know how they are expecting you to apply this mascara, but you almost have to twirl the brush as you are applying it - not an easy task.
I would not recommend this mascara - there are much better ones out there. Save yourself the frustration!
My mom brought this home for me one day and I thought it might be decent. At first it was okay. A little clumpy but still okay. I've noticed recently that the brush has a lot of clumps on it. I'm not sure why this might be but nonetheless it is still clumping up my lashes like crazy. I think I'll be switching back to my old mascara now!
I've been on the lookout for a good thickening mascara for a few months now and decided to give Revlon's new Double Twist mascara a try. The price left a little to be desired, checking in at just under $13 before taxes. I was hopeful, though, having seen the ad that displays a new brush technology, combining a thickening brush with a separating comb. My lashes are relatively thin and on the short side and I wanted this mascara to be everything I wanted.
It wasn't.
The mouth of the tube is so wide that the brush ends up with mascara all over the place and the formula itself is absolutely appalling. My lashes were clumpy and hard, even after I'd combed them through with another, dry mascara brush. Within an hour, the mascara began to flake off, ending up under my eyes and in my contacts. Usually, I'll see a mascara through to the end, but I threw this one away after a week. It was definitely not worth spending any money on and it's far from the amazing formula and brush they advertised.
Well, I bought this mascara only a couple days ago really excited, but I was deeply disappointed. First of all, the brush is kinda hard to go in and out of the tube, the mascara itself seems to be drying already, too much comes out on the brush and it ends up all clumpy. I mean it's alright in terms of adding some volume to your lashes, but I have found that this mascara also flakes as well.
Im a bit harsh maybe , but the thing is that a new mascara purchased less
than a week ago shouldn't ''crumble'' after an hour ...
The brush is really good though...
