I was at the queen west location yesterday and had a Brazilian. While the woman providing the service was nice, the service itself was not impressive. After all was said and done I was a little tender, but having had waxes quite regularly for 9 years I knew that was to be expected. The wax had been a little on the hot side, I told her, she adjusted it. Once I got home and had time to check things out I realized that I was quite red and the following morning was still newly waxed tender , I also realized that she had taken a good deal of skin off. I am really quite disappointed especially after talking about this exact thing and having the woman waxing me talk about how professionals should be better then that. I am not pleased.
I have high standards, so when a salon is actually meeting my expectations, I'm going to rate them accordingly. That said, 10 Spot met my expectations and exceeded them in some regard.
This is my favorite place for a Mani/Pedi when I am in TO. The staff are always helpful, clean and friendly. The decor is fun with lots of natural light. The products used always smell great and my cuticles are in great shape for weeks after a visit. Depending on the service it can be a little pricey so a quickie manicure is a nice wallet friendly alternative. I highly recommend a visit!
Comparing the nail salon AAA Nails I went in Richmond, BC, this nail bar is on the average. I like AAA Nails much better.
I got my very first Brazilian there today and it was great! I was a bit nervous and probably over talked a bit haha but Ashley was very professional yet nice! It was relatively painless and went much better than I'd thought~ It's very cute and comfy inside; not too large, not too small. This place is definitely a go! I'll definitelygo back!
Ok ladies, this place gets my rave review! I had an absolutely fabulous time at 10spot Nail Bar today. The atmosphere is fresh and the decor is modern and appealing. I recently won a gift certificate for 10Spot so I decided to go in with a friend and check the place out. We went in for pedicures and I have to say it was hands down the BEST pedicure that I have EVER had. Aurora did a flawless job and I have never been so relaxed during and pleased with the end results of a pedicure!
I agree that the cost seems like a bit much at first but I have to say that I really believe that it is worth it because the experience is way better than your average pedi. The massage nearly put me to sleep and I really liked the products they used (Cake & SpaRitual). They also offer you tea, coffee etc during your pedi along with an ample magazine selection. And, on the flat screen near by they are playing a movie on mute with subtitles.
If you have ever had a rough week at work/school etc and you are just looking to indulge and spoil yourself, this is definitely a good way to do it. Whether you live near or far, I strongly recommend that you try this place out!!! :o)
This has got to be the cutest nail bar on Queen Street or for that matter in Toronto. The fresh citrus decor and layout appealed to me as soon as I walked in the door. I recently came here for a manicure on business (I do manicures rather than golf, ok?) and had a very pleasant experience. They have different specials depending on the day and have martinis on Thursdays. It's a great spot to come with girlfriends or to pamper yourself.
It's a little pricey, at $30 for a manicure and $50 for a pedicure, which is my only complaint, but it makes up for that in cuteness.
Went here a couple of times so far, for a pedicure and manicure. Both times I was very happy with the service I received and the quality of the pedi/mani. There was an old-movie on (on mute, but closed captioned) and lots of magazines for me to choose from. I will definitely be going back for future pedi/manis!
