3 Fresh Summery Interior Paint Palettes

The quickest and cheapest way to give your home a facelift is a fresh coat of paint. Paint colours on trend right now are ‘barely there’ pastels. Here are three looks that will work in almost any room in your house.

Lavender Romance

Lavender offers a serene feeling in a room and is best when accessorized with metallics and rich fabrics. The contrast of light lavender against dark wood creates a well-balanced classic look.  Try Glidden’s Sugared Plum.

Blush 'n Plush

Pink is no longer reserved for little girls who want to be princesses. Blush-toned paint can give a room a sophisticated look when done right. Use two shades of pink by pairing a stronger shade with a pastel to create the right contrast.  Try Behr's Pink Punch.

Garden Greens

A soft green pastel on your walls is complemented best by other pastels like yellow, turquoise and blue. The room will feel incredibly light and airy, so inject some force with deep wood furniture and muted metallic accessories. Try Aurora Borealis by Martha Stewart Living.

Are you due for a interior makeover?  Which look would you pick?

I actually had that beautiful green colour in my bedroom at my first Toronto apartment and it was so soothing. It is easy to coordinate with and looks beautiful night or day. My current bedroom is a slightly darker shade of the same colour. I never thought I'd want green in the bedroom but I really like it!
