You've gone and snagged yourself a hot date on Friday night! Woot, you go girl! Now comes the hard part: deciding what to wear. You need to figure out what outfit will be appropriate for what you'll be doing on the date. At the same time, keeping in mind that you want to look pulled together and chic but you also need to be comfortable and confident in what you're wearing. Plus, there is the added pressure of choosing a sexy but classy outfit that flatters you in all the right places.

Rest easy ladies. We came up with three stylish yet appropriate outfits for three types of dates. Whether you're going to be taking in some art, soaking up the sun or grabbing a drink, we've got you covered. So, while we can't guarantee that your date won't be a dud, we can guarantee that your outfit won't be!

Dinner and Drinks: If you're going out at night for dinner or drinks, you'll want to go a little more formal. Think, well cut dress that flatters and fits curves, heels to give a bit of height and a few pieces of bling to bring it all together. Go for solid colours and don't be afraid to show a bit of skin! Just remember to balance everything out; if it has a great neckline, go for a longer length or vice versa.

1. H&M Dress (C$39.95)
2. Forever 21 Colorblocked Hinge Bracelet (C$7.80)
3. Forever 21 Rhinestone Cluster Earrings (C$5.80)
4. Sam Edelman Evan Pumps (C$190.00)

Cultural and Casual: This is the perfect outfit for any daytime or 'cultural' type of date (i.e. theatres, movies, galleries). A pair of nude heels make your legs go on for miles, a lace skirt is feminine but trendy and a basic coloured blouse pulls it together. Add some fun jewelry, too, for some personality and visual interest.

1. Banana Republic Tropical Sunset Necklace (C$62.99, on sale)
2. Club Monaco Jayne Skirt (C$159.50)
3. J.Crew Luxe Silk Crepe Blouse (C$234.00)
4. Nine West Rocha Pump (C$120.00)

Outdoorsy: This look is exactly what you need for any date where you'll be walking around and being active. For your bottoms, try simple, dark wash skinnies or bootcuts, depending on your body shape. We like dark wash and mid rise denim because they are universally flattering. Pair them with a casual but effortlessly chic tank and a great flat or sandal so you'll be comfy all date long.

1. Aldo Longeaton Sandals (C$27.99, on sale)
2. BDG Cigarette Mid-Rise Jean (US$54.00)
3. Talula Alyssa Top (C$40.00)
4. Top Shop Cream Top Lock Holdall (UK$40.00)

I love the Dinner & Drinks look, as well as the Outdoorsy look. Adorable date outfit ideas! I also like the second look, but it's something that I could never envision myself wearing - too pastel for me.

On a date, now that's funny. After being with the same guy for 25 years going on a date isn't something I do any more, but I do like all of these outfits.

I haven't been on a date in ages I couldn't even remember the last time I was on one, I've been with my hubby for 6 years now - but I would rock any of these looks, #2 probably being my fave of the bunch
