4 Nail Polish Colour Trends To Try this Spring/Summer
We've been enjoying some sunny weather as of late! Here at CA HQ we were all pumped for spring, until we realised that Mother Nature fooled us. We were hit with a sudden cold snap and all my dreams of wearing bare legs with a pair of fabulous sandals were crushed. Fortunately though, there's one way to wear and enjoy spring and summer trends that doesn't require hypothermia - nail polish!
It's an easy way to enjoy some of the hottest colours for the upcoming season and an eye catching shade totally brightens up an outfit. Here are four trendy colours I'm anticipating for my next spring or summer manicure:
#1: Ocean Blues
Think 'under the sea' with this trend. Shades of blue, turquoise and teal are a breathe of fresh air. Bright blues that deliver big on intensity are modern without being too polished and over the top.
1. China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Sunday Funday (C$8.25)
2. NuBar Nail Lacquer in My New Obsession (C$8.00)
3. Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Please See Me (C$8.95)
4. Essie 2013 Resort Collection in In The Cab-ana (C$7.95)
5. Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Blue My Mind (C$8.95)
6. Jin Soon Botanical Flower Collection in Blue Iris (C$22.00)
#2: Sorbet
Sweet pastels and ice cream shades are the inspiration for this trend. I especially love the new periwinkle and we'll be seeing more of it! The soft yellow looks so feminine and pretty.
1. Zoya Summer 2013 Stunning Collection in Darcy (US$8.00)
2. Nails Inc. Spring Summer Trend Polish in Chelsea Physic Garden (C$11.50)
3. Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pink a Card (C$8.95)
4. Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Peach of Cake (C$8.95)
5. Julep Smoky Pastels Nail Color in Rebecca (C16.00)
#3: New Nudes
Minimalist, clean and effortless describes the new set of nude tones popular this spring. Even though they're neutrals, they can still make a big impact.
1. Sephora X The New Neutral in Self Righteous (C$12.00)
2. O.P.I. Nail Lacquer in Tickle My France-Y (C$8.95)
3. Ceramic Glaze Nail Lacquer in Toasted Coconut (C$10.99, available at Shoppers Drug Mart)
4. NCLA Don't Call Me Peachy (C$16.00)
5. Butter London Nail Lacquer in Crumpet (C$17.00)
6. Jin Soon Nail Lacquer in Tulle (C$22.00)
#4: Firey
Shades of coral, orange and fuchsia replace your basic red and pink to make a bold statement. Try them together for an ombre effect!
1. Yves Saint Laurent La Lacque Couture Nail Lacquer in Coral Divin (C$27.00)
2. O.P.I. Nail Lacquer in My Paprika is Hotter Than Yours! (C$8.95)
3. Givenchy Le Vernis Intense Color Nail Lacquer in Fuchsia Irrésistible (C$25.00)
4. Essie 2013 Resort in Come Here (C$7.95)
5. Maybelline Color Show in Crushed Candy (C$3.99)
6. Maybelline Color Show in Orange Fix (C$3.99)

I've been loving pastels lately. Those sorbet colours look so pretty, specially that yellow polish!
Also, what is the ceramic glaze one in the nude set? Is that a new texture kind of thing like the rubber nail polish?
I like the fiery and ocean. My favorite color out of these sets is the Jin Soon Blue Iris.
