There is no doubt that Destination Weddings continue to be a hot trend for engaged couples in 2010. But is it an option for your nuptial plans?

Obligation invites like distant relatives and coworkers are less likely to attend, keeping your guest list to a minimum without offense. Planning a wedding from afar can be a stressful and risky experience, so including a professional in your planning eliminates most of your worries. Ask for referrals from other couples who have married at your proposed destination, or work with a wedding planner who has experience in your dream locale. The money saved from lost deposits, unreliable vendors, and last minute glitches will go a long way to covering your reliable professional's fee.
