5 London Fashion Week Trends for Fall 2011

Fashion Week in London was once again a visual smorgasbord of psychedelic prints and rich intense colours. We're seeing plenty of trends carry forward from past years-- with a few fun twists:
Fur & Hair Accents

Most designers had plenty of fur, shearling and leather in their outerwear, but some labels tried it on regular attire too, such as Giles, Burberry Prorsum, and Holly Fulton.
Bold Prints

Beside the obligatory tartans and plaids, there was a sea of bold prints in every motif imaginable from Issa, Basso & Brooke, Mary Katrantzou to name just three.
Dots & Dalmations

Speaking of bold, Paul Smith, Topshop Unique, and Temperley showcased their takes on polka dotted styles.
Military Outerwear

Sticking mostly to outerwear this time, the military trend popped up all over the place including Clements Ribeiro, Jaeger, and Burberry Prorsum.
Capes

Capes are back for another season, here by Pringle of Scotland, Matthew Williamson, and Burberry Prorsum.
Which trends are you hotly anticipating for Fall 2011?

![]() | Is that bold print by Basso & Brooke a coat? If so I would wear that! |
![]() | We've seen quite a lot of zany prints from London Fashion Week over the years and I quite like it from an artistic level. Not going to wear it, though - I'm with the rest of you. Neutrals, solids, and simple basics first and foremost. |
![]() | I'm with you dolce, I like simple (or no) patterns the majority of the time too. I really like the military outerwear though, I could totally get into that. |
![]() | I'm a little 'meh' about all of these trends. I think most of these look too busy, but then again, I am the type that really prefers wearing solids and only having one piece that is more bold, rather than 10 clashing pieces. |
![]() | Is anyone else getting a fariytale vibe from some of these? Dalmation dots from Topshop, a Robin Hood outfit from Issa, and Little Red Riding Hood from Burberry? |
![]() | Wow, got it. But a litter disappoint. |
