5 Practical Tips and Tricks You Need To Know Now
We love to talk crazy beauty tips and whose imaginary husband is hottest of them all, but when it comes right down to it, practical nuggets of wisdom are the best tips to share. Today we're adding 5 more to your list.
#1 Socks and rice make easy heat pads
When my TOTM hits, it's like someone has punched me in the ovaries. Heating pads are my preferred solution, but did you know that you can easily DIY one with an old sock and some rice? Here's the tutorial. When Aunt Flow comes to town, you know who to thank.
#2 Gum in hair or on your clothes?
Use an ice cube to freeze and harden the gum, making it easier to remove. You can also use this method to get rid of gum on your shoe soles and carpet.
#3 Pumice for pilling coats
If you're a thrifter like myself, you know the perils of finding a great winter coat at a fabulous price only to realize that it's pilled all over. Rub a pumice stone over the fabric to get rid of those little balls so your coat looks like it's brand new.
#4 Reviving mascara brushes
How you treat your wand actually affects your mascara. Don't pump your wand in and out; this causes clumping. Instead, rinse it under hot water to remove clumps and refresh your brush.
#5 Dryer sheets
Don't you hate it when you smear deodorant on your top when you're getting dressed in the morning? Just take a dryer sheet and rub over to remove it. So simple!

Great tips, especially the pumice stone!
I have tons of issues with deodorant marks! Had I known it was as easy as a dryer sheet I definitely wouldn't be taking so many shirts off to put back in the laundry because of ugly deodorant stains.

I've made one of those heating pads before, but I filled mine with buckwheat. I find it works much better then a heating pad. These other tips are great too, thanks.
