5 Ways To Cut Costs On Your Wedding
Since when did weddings become all about the glitz and not so much about the romance?
You could probably purchase a car with the amount of money spent on weddings. While lavish affairs can be glamorous, sometimes you lose that personal touch (and maybe even your credit score). Scaling down can make your day more intimate and less stressful for when the bills come in.
Here are a few ways to take things down a notch while still bringing friends and family together for a fabulous event:
1) Serving Large Platters
This couple served pizza at their wedding! Going "family style" at each table can be a great conversation starter. Share an artisan lasagne or traditional family recipe for a wonderful personal touch that helps cut costs and create an intimate atmosphere.
2) Double Duty Accessories
Instead of printing off table numbers, signs, and menus separately, consider doubling up with printed wine labels or centrepieces.

3) Keep it Simple
Less is more when it comes to flowers, centrepieces or invitations. 'Chop and drop' flowers, fruits and veggies, and twine are trendy rustic touches.

4) Wear Flats or Sandals
No one will see your feet under that floor-length gown, so why constrict yourself to a pair of expensive heels? Stick with pretty flats or sandals for all-day comfort, and make sure to break them in before your Big Day.
5) Use Technology
There so many amazing wedding resources out there for those tying the knot (and most are free!). Use apps to do everything from checking colour schemes to planning your honeymoon. We like these great wedding apps here, here, and here.
