5 Ways To Repurpose Mascara Wands

Not too long ago, I let you in on a little secret for fixing clump city lashes: use an old wand to separate them! This got me thinking, were there other uses out there for old mascara wands? I always end up with loads of tubes and mascara wand samples can easily be picked up (i.e. sneaked out) from Sephora, other uses for them would be so handy dandy!
Well, I found 'em. Prepare for 5 more ways to repurpose your old wands:

1. Eyebrow Brush: After you're finished with your mascara, clean your brush and use with your favourite powder to subtly fill in brows.
2. Root Touch Up: Instead of redying your entire head (ain't nobody got time for that), simply redye your roots. Instead of using gloves or whatever brush the dye may come with, just use the wand to get the small amount of hair.
3. Tame Flyaways: Little baby hairs cropping up? Spritz some hairspray or anti-humidity spray and pat down with the brush.
4. Reuse for another Mascara: Love the formula, hate the wand? Toss it and replace it with your favourite one instead.
5. Cleaning: Not such a glamorous event but wands make excellent cleaning utensils. If you have delicate, beaded garments and need to get in between for a deep clean, use a wand. Wands are also great for cleaning taps.
Have you tried any of these? Do you have any more uses to add to the list?

![]() | Great ideas! I've tried a few of these, but i Hate having the wash the wand when it's full of mascara (because I want to get it back to it's original squeaky clean, unstained state), without wasting a ton of makeup remover. I might have to try snagging a few sample wands next time I'm at Sephora. |
![]() | I get a ton of flyaways, I think I'm going to try this. I've tried multiple techniques and nothing has completely worked so far. |

![]() | Oh yes the flyaways one is a great tip. I use clear mascara for this as well as for taming brows, but using an old wand is a great idea too. |
