6 Adult Ways To Enjoy Candy (in cocktails!)

I firmly believe that adults have the right to enjoy candy just as much as kids do. I have a sweet tooth and I'm not ashamed to admit. Do you know what makes candy even better though? Booze. A candy + booze combo is seriously underrated and deserves way more attention than it gets. Also, nothing screams grown up like a boozy candy cocktail, amirite? So, here are 6 delicious candy inspired cocktails that are anything but childish:

1. Nerds Cocktail

1 oz Midori
1 oz Blue Curacao Liquor
Lemonade

Rim the glass with Nerds. For those who aren't afraid of a sugar rush, I would even go as far as using a frosting to stick the Nerds to the rim! Next, pour Midori and Blue Curacao into glass over ice. Fill the rest of the glass to the top with lemonade.

2. Rock Candy Cocktail

(makes 2)
12 oz. Champagne, Prosecco or Spumante
Rock Candy

Fill two glasses with 6 ounces of sparkling wine and add a rock candy before serving. A simple way to infuse a drink and looks very fancy.

3. Lollipop Cocktail

(makes 2)
12 oz. Champagne (prosecco or spumante)
1 oz. Cherry Juice
Lollipops

Fill each glass with 6 ounces of your sparkling wine (champagne, prosecco, spumante) and 1/2 ounce of cherry juice. Pop in a lollipop and you're finished!

1. Peppermint White Russian

2 York Peppermint Patties
1 oz. Peppermint Mocha Kahlua
2 oz. Vodka
4 oz. Low Fat Milk

Take one patty and place at bottom of a cocktail shaker, then muddle to crush. To this, add 1 ounce of Kahlua and muddle again. Add ice, 2 ounces of vodka and 4 ounces of milk. Shake well and strain into a tumbler. Garnish with your second patty.

2. Toblerone Cocktail

3 oz. Milk
1 oz. Frangelico
1 oz. Irish Cream
1 oz. Coffee Liqueur
1 Tsp. Honey
Toblerone (for garnish)

Fill a tall glass halfway with ice. Pour milk into glass. In a cocktail shaker with ice, mix hazelnut liqueur, irish cream, coffee liqueur, and honey for about 20-30 seconds. Strain and pour into glass. Stir well. Garnish with Toblerone.

3. Butterfinger Martini

1 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
1 oz. Butterscotch Schnapps
1/2 oz.  Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur
1  1/2 oz. Milk
Chocolate Syrup
1 Butterfinger Bar, chopped

Rim the martini glass in chocolate syrup, then coat rim with Butterfinger pieces. Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker, over ice. Shake and pour into glass.

That nerds cocktail is looking yummy! I really like drinks with lemonade too, so it's right up my alley. Plus come on, rimming the glass with nerds? Adorable.
