Alexandra's Guide To The Best Bath Ever

About two months ago, I read a post by a blogger and loved it! She wrote about how much she enjoyed taking baths. I thought to myself, 'YES', this is what I have been searching for! I needed some relaxing me time to help me unwind after a stressful day and this fit the bill.

Since I've started taking long, luxurious baths, I've become somewhat of a connoisseur. When it comes to salts, soaps and everything in between, I've got it down to an art.

1. Epsom Salts (C$12.29)I am obsessed with Epsom salts. Not only is it a great soak for sore muscles, but it makes my skin feel so soft afterwards.

2. Tata Harper Aromatic Bedtime Treatment (C$62.00)

3. Aveeno Soothing Bath Treatment (US$6.99): I love an oatmeal soak. It makes dry, itchy skin a thing of the past.

4, Sea Salt (C$7.99)I actually like to do a 50/50 split of Epsom and sea salt. I find sea salt helps with blemishes or shaving bumps and cuts.

5. Lush Pink Bath Bomb (C$4.95)

6. Lush Space Girl Bath Bomb (C$5.25)

7. Vitabath Spa Day Cucumber & White Tea Body Mist (C$9.99): Post bath, I prefer a light scent that isn't too overpowering on musks.

8. Vitabath In Bloom Nouveau Rose with Evening Primrose Oil Body Wash (C$7.99)

9. Vitabath Fruit Fanatic Grapefruit Vanilla with Grapefruit Extract Body Wash (C$7.99)

10. Aura Cacia Aromatherapy Lavender Harvest Mineral Bath (C$3.69)Baths are amazing before bed. Try anything lavender scented in your bath and you'll feel like you're drifting off to wonderland.

11. Origins Clear Improvements Mask (C$27.00)While spending time soaking, I like to make use of that time and give myself a mini facial with a good mask. This one's great and so is: 13. GlamGlow Super-Mud Clearing Treatment (C$69.00).

12. Live Clean Spa Therapy Soothing Dead Sea Salts
(C$8.97)

14. Spa Sister Luxury Inflatable Terry Bath Pillow Bath Pillow (US$11.00)

15. Umbra Aquala Bamboo and Chrome Bathtub Caddy (C$44.15)

16. Coastal Scents Nuna Black Soap (C$3.95)

I AM SO A SOAKER! Since I'm ill most of the time, I find soaking not only good for my mental health, but my physical one as well. I find new and interesting ways to make use of my own homemade oils. Boiling eucalyptus leaves yourself saves lots of money! However, it does make the fragrance more potent.

These all sound amazing! I love the lush bath bombs, they smell amazing too! I also love the bubble bath from bath and body works, especially the sea island cotton scent, it smells so fresh and delicious!

I've never used sea salt before, just Epsom. I really need that bath caddy though! I hate having to reach out of the tub and onto the floor to get my tea or water, and of course my book always ends up getting wet. I also always have a candle or two going, just really feels more relaxing with one burning :)

epsom salt is also good if you are in a cleansing/detox program. it helps get rid of toxins trough the skin.

I love taking a bath, especially after a long stressful day, or a freezing cold winters day. I also like to put on music and light a scented candle.

I'm not normally a bath taker but once in a while it does feel fabulous.

P.S. make sure kids are elsewhere.

I love taking baths, but I usually keep them pretty simple - by just using bubble bath. I would love to use bath bombs, etc - but they usually cause me more grief afterwards, not fun. I also totally agree with Takoda, once I had my children, I just can't seem to find the bath time that I had before..
