Are You Bold Enough for a Maxi Skirt?

It's time to tuck your micro-minis back in the closet because this Fall it's ALL about maxi skirts!  Dress them up or down and wear them day and night.

(left to right) Marc Jacobs Fall 2010, Charlotte Ronson Fall 2010, Michael Kors Fall 2010

Fall is all about neutral shades and every luxurious texture you can imagine: from crushed velvet like Marc Jacobs, pleated at Charlotte Ronson, and knitted at Michael Kors

Hermes Fall 2010

Tip:  to avoid the risk of looking more conservative than your grandma, wear something fitted on your top half or show a little skin.  Taking the look into winter?  Take a cue from Hermes and pair it with a belted jacket.

For affordable options, try one of these 3 trendy maxi skirts that we found for $60 and under:

TopShop Crinkle Maxi Skirt ($60 USD), ASOS Knitted Maxi Skirt ($47 USD), Forever 21 Striped Longline Skirt ($8.80 USD)

We love when fashion is comfortable too!

What do you think: Is this trend here to stay or is it just a fad?

This trend can go away as far as I'm concerned. Way too hard to pull off successfully for most people. Myself included.

I'll admit there's no way I could pull off this trend. I have rather wide hips and I can just see these skirts making me look like I'm smuggling a house under my skirt or something. That said, I do think they look gorgeous and if I could pull them off I would totally wear them.
