Britney Spears "Hold It Against Me" Video is Released

Britney Spears' new music video "Hold It Against Me" is here. And it's... somethin'.

Director Jonas Åkerlund has also worked with Lady Gaga, and so it's not surprising that this video shows a much darker side to Brit than we've seen before.

It's hypnotically mesmerizing but I'll stop short of saying that I actually like it. Maybe it's because I find the lyrics to be a little insipid, or maybe I'm put off by her squinty-strange eyes in this video: I can't put a finger on it.

Since I can't decide, I'll leave it up to you: is this vid Fab or a Flop?

I watch her old videos (Slave 4 U) and wonder whatever happened to her dancing skills. Aside from that, the product placement was awkward and too obvious. If you're going to use it, be creative about it like Lady Gaga who stuffed Diet Coke cans in her hair (haha).

I kind of hate myself for admitting that, but there it is. Another song I find way overbuzzed is Gaga's "Born This Way". It's exactly like Madonna's "Express Yourself" musically (though lyrically it's different... and then kinda not).
