Can a "Chick" be a Feminist?
Every now and then we'll come across something like this:
"Wow, I don't think I've ever found a more stereotypical site. One giant step backwards for feminism..."
Being talked about is a good thing, even in light of a comment like that so we're hardly offended.
But seriously.
Why are we so easily offended when it comes to:
The color pink ~ shame on the Breast Cancer Think Pink people;
The term "Chick" (a young woman, a pretty girl, a baby chicken) ~ shame on us;
Discussions about shopping, beauty, restaurants, wellness and relationships ~ Come on. We're all guilty here...
Anyone who visits ChickAdvisor regularly knows that the quality of opinions and advice shared here are really good. One look at the discussions in our forums and there is no denying the opinions expressed are by confident, self assured modern women who see themselves as anything but anti-feminists.
What do you guys think? Can you be a Chick and a Feminist at the same time?
