Celeb Covet-Worthy Hair Colour
Spring is all about keeping things fresh, and what better way to celebrate than with a fresh new hair color? If you're looking for some colorful inspiration check out the celebrity styles that have us seeing green (well, actually blonde, brown and red)—it might be time to make a salon appointment.
The New Blonde
Michelle Williams' and Amanda Seyfried's blonde appears to be one light shade, rather than blonde with highlights. On Michelle it's a bright platinum (hard on the hair so easier to maintain in a shorter style), while Amanda's is a light wheat shade with a bit of ash and not a hint of brassiness.
Dark and Sultery
Lea Michele's dark strands are only slightly lighter at the ends, just like the sun would naturally do. Does she colour her hair, well that's anyones guess with colour like this. Did you blink and miss Khloe Kardashian as a red head? Rumour has it producers of Keeping Up With The Kardashians' made her dye it back so she looked more like her sisters. Too bad, this spunky shade really matched her outspoken personality.
Ombre
This trend shows no signs of slowing. Jessica Biel and Leighton Meester are just two of the starlets who've played around with this look (see also: Rachel Bilson, Whitney Port, Shenae Grimes and Alexa Chung) which is great for ladies with length who want to play around with highlights but don't want to be a slave to the salon for touch ups.
Highlights
At one end of the highlight spectrum there is Gabrielle Union who's opted for subtle shots peaking out from her top layer, and at the other end is Emma Roberts who's gone for classic honey blonde streaks all over. Both have chosen colours that enhance their complexion and work with the hair's texture.
Are you looking for a great new hair color for Spring 2011? What are you most excited to try?

I love the ombre look but I'm too scared to have it done because I think this is the kind of look that can go really wrong...
I really loved Khloe's ginger locks. It really softened, feminized her features more. Drew Barrymore has a similar colour and looks really gorgeous.
I really like Khloe Kardashian as a redhead. I think it suits her personality and looks great with her skintone. Not easy going red!

I know it's cliche but I always go lighter in spring and darker in fall. I get the best reactions when my hair is lighter though.
LOVE the ombré hair on Jessica Biel! |
