Chanel has opened up a new makeover concept at Holt Renfrew's Toronto Flagship location on Bloor. Cinq a Sept, is open Thursdays and Fridays from 5-7pm where you can book appointments for $75 to come down by yourself or with some girlfriends and get gussied up before your night out. $75 includes your makeover, complementary mocktails and $75 worth of Chanel makeup. We love the concept, don't you?
Mandy and I got makeovers at the opening, hosted by a Chanel-clad, Jeanne Beker. Actually, Mandy was told her makeup was already perfect, but got a lipstick application with this gorgeous colour, Lune Rousse hand picked out by Chanel Makeup Artist, Kris Wares.

Myself? Well, I was told (by one of their experts) that I wasn't doing myself any favours with my makeup. Taken aback, I asked for clarification. "You aren't wearing enough", he opined. He mentioned something about my eye shape and cheekbones and so forth, which was all very flattering... but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't considering dousing him with sparkling acai berry juice right then and there.

Instead, on Janine's advice, I asked if he would save me by showing me how it's done. He did, and I forgave.

My skin looked amazing after the application. I'm fairly certain my eye makeup was darker when I came in, but when he finished, several of the Chanels gathered around and cooed that I looked lovely.

The husband agreed. My favourite products were the Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eyeliner that stayed put all night long even thought it was applied to my upper and lower waterline, and the Vitalumiere Fluide Foundation responsible for my glowing skin.
