This morning I had the pleasure of popping into CHANGE, a beautiful lingerie boutique on Toronto's Queen West strip. This light, airy boutique reminds me of the kind you see all over Italy: intimate, fresh and colorful. They invited me to a complimentary bra fitting and to be honest, I was somewhat apprehensive about stripping down and discussing my ta-tas with a total stranger.

My fears quickly subsided when I was greeted by Carol, a sweet woman with the most fabulous Scottish accent. She whisked me into the changeroom and rolled out the measuring tape (good news, you get to keep your shirt on for this part). She presented me with a few bras that looked way too big to me, but were actually a perfect fit! My band size went down to a 30, but I also went up a cup size, which is always good for the ego...

Carol said that most women wear the wrong bra size. About 90% of us don't have a clue what size we really are. I was surprised to learn that most women are actually a size F, G or H (!!) You may think you are a 34B, but actually be a 32F.

Another misconception: Pammy Anderson is no DD. Carol estimates she is probably more like a 26L. If that doesn't give you some perspective I don't know what else would.
