Cheap Thrills: 10 Beauty Products That Deliver Big for a Small Price

When it comes to shopping, it's most often worth it to pay more. I have a graveyard of dollar store earbuds to prove this. However, once in a while I come across a product that works so well for a really low price. It almost seems as though the clouds part and angels start to sing and all I want to do is shout out: 'it's a miracle'!

That's the case for these inexpensive beauty products that give you a ton of bang for your buck.

1. NYX Cosmetics Round Lipstick (C$6.00): NYX is well known for their highly pigmented lipsticks at a bargain price. They have a great selection of on trend matte shades.

2. Avon Speed Dry+ Nail Enamel (C$6.99): I first read about this polish on my blogger crush Beauty Editor who raved about it's fast drying capabilities. She even called it a 'new favourite', so obviously I am on the hunt for this polish!

3. Essence Match2Cover! Cream Concealer (C$3.49): With two shades, it covers and conceals to match your skintone. I use the darker shade to conceal pimples and the lighter shade for dark circles. The price tag makes it a great addition to your makeup bag.

4. Milani Color Statement Lipstick (US$5.49): Milani is a bit more difficult to find in Canada, but the product is worth the search. Milani hasn't been the most fashion forward brand, yet you can't tell me that their bold red lip look doesn't scream glam. It's long lasting and has a great finish.

5. Sephora Cream Lip Stain (C$14.00): This might seem like a pricier item compared to the rest of this list. For the quality, it's comparable to my Make Up For Ever stain and only half the price.

1. E.L.F. Studio Zit Zapper (C$3.00): This product contains some of my favourite anti-acne ingredients: tea tree oil and salicylic acid which both pack a punch and the witch hazel and green tea help to soothe inflamed skin.

2. Eucerin DermatoClean Mild Cleansing Lotion (US$16.95): Everyone should have a mild cleanser for sensitive skin in their medicine cabinet. This removes all makeup and because it's actually a cream formula, it helps to moisturize the skin at the same time. It's great and high quality with a drugstore price tag.

3. E.L.F. Studio High Definition Powder (US$6.00): Finishing powder is one of those 'never needed it until you used it and now you can't live without it' products (which is why I don't like spending too much on it). I love the finish my skin has when I use powder, but spending $40+ on it isn't always worth it. ELF's studio HD powder is a great alternative for those on a budget.

4. Sephora Brush Wand (C$14.00): This is such a smart product with great value. Simply change up the brush head by snapping it off like lego! Great for travelling or for carrying in your purse.

5. Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer (US$6.00): I feel like I talk about this concealer ad nauseum, so I apologize to anyone who is sick and tired of hearing about how much I love it. It's super thick and pigmented and it's made to cover tattoos which means it's going to take care of any blemish issues you may encounter. This is my saviour when that time of the month comes around. Seriously chicks, this is a staple for anyone who occasionally gets the breakout blues.

Have you used any of these products? What small price, big quality products are your favourites?

Can I just say that I wholeheartedly agree with the Sephora lip stain! It is AH-MAZING! I have it in two colours now and I get compliments on it every time I wear it. It seriously lasts all day, and through eating and drinking NO problem. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

A lot of people mistake cheap price for cheap product. But you can get some really great finds if you just try them out. I'm totally obsessed with Essence products right now lol.
