Today was the day I tried something new. Today I went to I Love Kickboxing at Keele street and Kirby road in Maple Ontario and I must say " WOW! What a great work out" and that they do live up to their name! Not only is the class up beat and motivating the instructors are absolutely amazing, and friendly and they are definitely there for the result s of their clients not for the paycheck. They made me feel like there is NOTHING to be ashamed of and made me feel so welcomed and gave me so much motivation. There are men and female change rooms both with very clean showers and private washrooms. Also lockers for everyone and not to worry if you forget a lock everyone is super friendly and very nice that there is no need to worry about things going missing. Yes you may think that it is a bit too pricy compared to a gym membership but it is SO worth it. It's like you get a personal trainer and a fun time. Sometimes the gym can feel like a chore but going to I Love Kickboxing makes you feel like you are going to see your favorite family members for an amazing party and get together. I would never ever think twice about joining and amazing place like this n that's why I joined on the spot after my first class!!

Thanks ILoveKickBoxing!!

I can't work out for the sake of it, you have to trick me. I need to swim or zumba or dance of some sort. Oh and no sports or running. Just not a jock.

Early December I got a gym membership despite it being completely out of my comfort zone. I had previously only been to my University's gym a few times and hated it. I joined my current gym for the yoga, but instead have ended up absolutely loving lifting weights and TRX. I've been going on almost a daily basis and have surprised myself with how much I actually enjoy it. Best decision ever, and has led to so many positive changes in other aspects of my life as well : )

I love taking long walks, for the physical and mental health it allows me. I lost almost 80 pounds 5 years ago, by adopting an energetic chocolate lab, and walking....it's free and very effective!

I do abs, butt, legs cardio & arms 5 days a week and rest on the weekends. I have a six-pack, but staying fit and trim at 40 is my only goal.

Ah, I love this! Rachel, I will definitely NOT challenge you to an arm wrestle. I've seen your 'guns' in person.

I love many different types of exercise and it often comes down to what I'm in the mood for each day. I like class workouts like kickboxing, weightlifting (e.g. Les Mills Body Pump), and Zumba for the atmosphere and being told what to do instead of having to devise a workout myself. I really love cross country running but only in a park or rugged setting. I hate running on sidewalks. Most of all, I love team sports for the comraderie and competitiveness. On occasion I appreciate a good Jillian Michaels DVD or Just Dance workout at home. In terms of what I hate, I despise ab workouts and generally get bored too quickly just working out alone. Lastly, I have a love/hate relationship with spin. As in I spend the entire class in agony but afterward feel sooo good (but not good enough to want to go back for the next session. I usually have to force myself).
