In the Spring of 2007 I did a naughty, and what some would consider ill-advised, thing. I bashed Prada. Not the brand as a whole, because I am a huge fan and have been since my days at Fashion File; I took pot shots at their must have spring accessory. The female turban. While I still stand by my opinion that it is indeed ugly, and I do feel it makes the wearer look like Aunt Jemima, I was chagrined to find out that the Prada People found out - and included a mention of my post in their new Book.

Thankfully what they included was merely a link to the post and one of our kind reader's comments in response to my snark:

Of course we are thrilled to be included in their book in any capacity. It's a gorgeous coffee table book and I think worth the hefty $150 price tag, not the mention the bragging rights.

When I went to pick it up the sales associate offered if I'd like to purchase one of their signature handbags as well. Nice attempt at a $5000 upsell, no? Sadly, I had to decline.
