It's actually determined by a mathematical algorithm that calculated all of the new reviews from 2014 and how you rated them. So if you see products on here that participated in the Product Review club it means you really liked those items and more of you reviewed them this year than other products in the same category (ex: mascara). We don't skew any of the results. If you want to see more of your favorites make the cut next year make sure to review them
