Four power house women graced the cover of Elle for their Women in TV issue. Mindy Kaling (i.e. my soulmate and spirit animal), Allison Williams (of my fave TV show, Girls), Amy Poehler (SO funny) and Zooey Deschanel (a.k.a. my pretend BFF). Each of the covers was so fierce and attention demanding that it seemed only necessary to write about it so I could day dream about the awesome shopping trips Mindy Kaling and I would have. And, I feel it necessary to put them all to the test to see which hot cover was the scorching-ist of all.

Allison is smokin' in this cover. She usually doesn't do such a sexy look so it's cool to see her in something smouldering. My only complaint? This dress works on her uber thin frame but put it on anyone else and you've got a totally trashy situation. 

Amy Poehler (right)

I love a lady in a suit. I like Amy in a suit because it shows off the fact that she's both a serious business woman and crazy hot. I'm not totally on board with the wind swept hair happening but she's lookin' gooooddddd. 


Mindy Kaling (left)

There was some controversy surrounding this cover. Mindy was the only woman of colour and the only one in black and white and the only one who had only her face shown. Rumours swirled about the magazine doing this on purpose to 'hide' her skintone or her body. Mindy has since given the cover her seal of approval, so I choose to believe that the mag chose it for the sheer awesomeness of this power stare she's giving. 

Zooey Deschanel (right)

I like Zooey a lot as a personality, but this cover doesn't seem to show it. She looks a bit lifeless to me. I don't love the dress, but on her it does look good. Her makeup and hair and excellent - I love the edginess. Overall, a little bland. I think she could have werked it a little more for the camera.
