DD Creams: The Newest and Trendiest Beauty Product?
Just when you thought they'd run out of letters...
First there was the BB cream, which is a Beauty or Blemish Balm. Similar to a tinted moisturizer, BB creams gave coverage and moisturization but with added benefits like SPF or antioxidants. It was a major hit. Then, there was the CC cream and yet again, we collectively lost our minds over a new product. CC cream stands for Colour Correcting and as we put it, it is BB cream's older, cooler sister. Basically, it's a souped up BB cream with extra coverage and benefits.
Prepare yourselves ladies, because now there is another one to add to the family tree: DD cream. And no, it ain't for your girls. DD cream stands for 'Dynamic Do-All'. It promises more coverage and more anti-aging properties, along with vitamins, anti-oxidants and SPF. It's pretty much a 'greatest hits' compilation of BB and CC creams combined.
As of this moment, we could only find two DD creams on the market. However, knowing this trend, others aren't far behind:
1. Julep DD Cream (US$36.00)
2. Ofra DD Cream (US$29.95)
Will you try it out or do you think it's just a gimmick? What do you think of the BB and CC craze?
