Our Tip: If you have a specific item in mind, ask the greeter at the door where it is located. Some items may not be in the expected department but rather in a display elsewhere!
"Fine Print": Most of the items mentioned here are Doorcrasher specials. Check your local store for special hours on Black Friday, as well as unadvertised in-store deals. Rainchecks are not available for most Doorcrasher items.
Canadians: with the dollar being so strong this year, will you take advantage of these sales? Who will be shopping on Black Friday this year?

I went Black Friday shopping in Pennsylvania and I gotta say, it wasn't as crazy as I expected. I didn't have to wait to go in any store, the cash lines weren't bad and no one pushed or grabbed clothing out of my hands like I was expecting! It was also pouring rain that night so that may be why it was relatively tame. In fact, the longest line I waited in was at the mall's coffee shop!
So while I didn't brave the Black Friday sales myself this year, I sent out the mister for a new dishwasher. That's one way to do it! To be honest, I was kind of underwhelmed this year. I have a feeling we'll be seeing similar prices closer to Christmas and in the post-holiday sales...
Nope, it's not just Texas :) I have lived in the US for 5 years and still haven't braved it. I like 'Cyber Monday' better!
I am scared of Black Friday shoppers and I am also claustrophobic, so no, I'm going to stay home sleeping and enjoying left overs =) I don't know if it's just Texas but people are INSANE on Black Friday. |
