Penelope Cruz looks like how a princess should look. Forever young and beautiful.
Agreed Becky, the Queen in Snow White is so accurately portrayed. Olivia Wilde did a great job!!
For Disney character I'd always thought myself as a Belle, and reading through the posts I just realized how we tend to like the one we look like the most (umm, hair only in my case)! hehe :)

Actually I think Penelope would have been a great fit as Esmerelda from the Hunchback of Notre Dame! She was cast a little against type as Belle (in that Penelope is Spanish), but I think it was a wonderful choice nonetheless.
I have always wanted to be Jasmine :) These look amazing.-- I love Penelope as Belle, but she could've pulled off Jasmine too!
@Cathy, @Lauren: I think we just typecast ourselves here - a brunette wanted to be Belle, a redhead wanted to be Arial and me, a blondie, wanted to be Cinderella.
Can I also say how thrilled I am that they picked Jeff Bridges as the Prince? An older Beast is much truer to the original story, and the expected pick here might have been someone more like - I don't know - Rob Pattinson?
I think most little girls have one special Disney Princess that they wanted to be... mine was Arial. Cathy I totally would have pegged you as a Belle!
I love this whole series! One of my all-time favourites is Scarlett Johannson as Cinderella (doesn't hurt that it's also one of my favourite fairytales). |
