DIY Apple Citrus Facial Cleanser

During the summer my friend and I experimented with this easy DIY cleanser and loved it. Ideal for combination to oily skin, the apple and citrus extracts act as astringents for a deep clean while yogurt adds a thick creaminess that leaves your skin feeling soft and bright.

2 peeled apple slices
2 Tbsp plain yogurt
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp lemon juice
Wash, peel and slice fresh apple (any type will do). Puree in a food processor, then add yogurt, olive oil and juice to the mashed apple and mix thoroughly.
Massage the mixture onto your face for an all-over cleanse. Rinse off immediately with warm water.

Will definitely try this out. I really like homemade facial treatments since they incorporate natural ingredients and they're ones you already have around the house. Great article. |

I like trying these types of make it yourself facial treatments. Now that I'm home with my baby I have more time to experiment. |

Hi, |
![]() | This article looks amazing :) Try the recipe! |
![]() | I've always read about DIY cleansers, masks and peels but have never actually tried them out. I have very sensitive skin and would hate to have any sort of reaction to the DIY. I stick to what I know and what I trust. |
