DIY Beauty: Oily and Dry Winter Skin Rescue
Oh, winter you are a harsh, cruel season. After our recent snowstorm which resulted in myself having a six hour delay in an airport, my skin has been all sorts of dry lately. In an effort to get that super soft, smooth skin a la Kerry Washington, I did some digging and found a simple DIY recipe for a dry skin moisturizer to use in winter.
And I'm adding in a special DIY recipe for oily skin too because I, of all people, know that occasionally skin can be all greasy and shiny.
Sweet Honey Moisturizer for Dry Skin
1 tsp honey
1 tsp sweet almond oil
1/4 egg yolk
Mix ingredients together. Apply to your face morning and evening after cleansing. Splash with warm water and pat dry.
Apple and Carrot Mask for Oily Skin
1 Tbsp of shredded carrot
1 Tbsp shredded apple
1 Tbsp cottage cheese
Mix together carrot and apple and then add in the cottage cheese. Apply layer all over face and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and apply moisturizer.
Got any beauty tips for my winter skin?
