DSquared Dressed Performers at Opening Ceremonies

As I watched Nikki Yanofsky oh-so-beautifully belt out the Canadian national anthem at the Olympic opening ceremonies on Friday night, I couldn't stop wondering who had designed her dress. However when Claire informed me this morning that DSquared was in fact responsible for the scarlet strapless number, I wasn't surprised. The Toronto-born internationally acclaimed designer twins just happen to be my favourite players on the runway (not because they're Canadian, but it sure helps!).

The outfits worn by Bryan Adams, Nelly Furtado, Sarah McLachlan, French-Canadian singer Garou and the Olympic hymn singer Measha Brueggergosman were courtesy of DSquared too. Dean and Dan Caten are set to dress performers at February 28th's closing ceremonies as well.

Earlier on Friday, Dean and Dan were also among the final bearers to carry the Olympic torch in Canada before it arrived in BC Place. They ran in tuxedos!

Did you love the opening ceremony attire as much as we did?
