Easy Guacamole Recipe

I refuse to wait until summer to enjoy my favourite seasonal foods, and this guacamole dip gets me from freezing to fiesta in 10 minutes or less.

2 medium avocados
1 small tomato, diced finely
1/2 onion, minced
juice of 1 lemon (to taste)
salt, to taste
dash cayenne pepper (optional, for a Super Spicy Southern taste)

Mash the avocado with a fork in a bowl (for a chunkier texture) or blender (for a smoother texture).

Add vegetables to the avocado and mix.

Add fresh squeezed lemon and salt to taste, mix, and you're done!  Enjoy it with tortilla chips (I like whole grain chips), pita bread (try it slightly toasted!), with veggies or add to a sandwich or wrap.

@Ali you can chop the onions more finely if you have a sensitive stomach OR use salsa as an alternative!

That looks so good. Do the raw onions taste strong? That would be the one thing I wonder if you could leave out without compromising the taste.

I am craving it right now. I love this stuff! I am crazy about avocados, so I usually have them like 3 times a week, whether in guacamole, sushi, or just by themselves with some lemon and sea salt! Delish!
