Emma Watson's Collaboration With Alberta Ferretti
Emma Watson's eco-fashion takeover continues with her latest project—Pure Threads—a collaboration with designer Alberta Ferretti. The five piece capsule collection focuses on easy to wear day clothes with a romantic, feminine fit and features details like lace embroidery. What makes it so eco-friendly are the fabrics used (a.k.a. the "pure threads"): Organic cotton poplin (the dresses), organic cotton muslin (the long skirt and blouse) and organic hemp and cotton (the denim shorts); and all of the textiles pass global organic standards. The pieces were selected to reflect what Watson and Ferretti feel are all that's required to build a summer wardrobe.
The collection will be on sale *now at albertaferretti.com.
The two organic cotton poplin dresses (US$1,010 and US$1,080).
The organic cotton muslin skirt (US$880) and blouse (US$670 - seen at left and right), and the organic hemp and cotton denim shorts (US$340).
Are you more likely to buy a piece of clothing if it is made from organic textiles?

I really like those shorts!
It's a really pretty collection and I would totally wear that black lace dress, but my heart stopped when I saw those price tags! I do love that it's eco friendly and sure, organic cotton fibers are more expensive than regular cotton, but only by a few dollars. The markup on this collection must be astronomical!
I love the black lace dress and the blouse.
Just like Emma, the collection is beautiful sweet and feminine.
I'm in love with the collection. It is beautiful! The fact that it's eco friendly is definitely worth the extra $.
