Emmy 2010: Worthy Winners and Fabulous Fashion
Last night's Emmy awards saw some expected winners and a few surprised losers.
Mad Men and Modern Family took home top honours for Best Drama and Comedy series (respectively), while the directors of Dexter and Glee were recognized for their efforts. Reality TV cleaned up in the kitchen, with foodie faves Top Chef and Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution.
Best Actress was awarded to Kyra Sedgwick (Drama) and Edie Falco (Comedy). Kyra's Monique Lhullier gown was also one of our Red Carpet favourites. Edie? Well, she has a beautiful little statue, doesn't she?
Our favourite dweeb Jim Parsons snagged Best Actor (Comedy) while Bryan Cranston scored himself a hattrick (Drama).
Overall, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Modern Family were the winners of the evening. Four-time nominee Hugh Laurie (House) went home empty-handed along with fellow Doc Matthew Fox (Lost).
Now to the fashion...
Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta is the babe of the blogosphere. Claire Danes looked stunning in Armani Prive, and we love Jennifer Carpenter's one-shouldered number.
Sweetly svelte Kelly Osbourne rocks Tony Ward, and Rose Byrne looks like virginal Athena. Anna Paquin is in Alexander McQueen and, well, it's McQueen so we have a love/hate thing going on.
Were you surprised by the winners? Whose fashion did you love?
