Even greener grocery shopping

Eco-entrepreneur Judy Lazar and I think alike. Well, I'm not the founder of the completely reusable shopping system Credo Bags, so I'll give her brownie points for being the more proactive one. But here's what led her to start the line of reusable bags for all types of shopping: she was struck by the fact that shoppers carry their groceries in reusable bags but fill them with plastic bags to package their components.

Well, guess what. That strikes me too! Every time I get home from the grocery store, I find myself annoyed with the amount of plastic produce bags I've wasted to carry my fruits and veggies. I, for one, would get a great use out of these bags:

Though I think the wine bag might be a little overboard, I think this is a great way to prevent from wasting produce bags. Plus, the cotton mesh means the cashier can easily see what's in the bag when scanning your groceries.

Remember when people would use these reusable grocery bags in the 90s? Why did those ever go out of style?

This lunch bag is simplicity at its best. It also says you've clearly outgrown your Dick Tracy lunch box, if anyone's keeping track.

Credo Bags are currently available for purchase online at credobags.com. The bags featured here range from $5 to $16 CAN.

Would you get a good use out of these?
