Fall 2011 TV Show Guide: Tammy's Picks

One thing that I love about fall is the TV shows. After being on hiatus and taking a break, fall is when TV makes a come back! This year, I am very excited to see some new shows popping up. These are some of the shows that caught my attention.

1. Ringer
Starring Buffy the Vampire Slayer Sarah Michelle Geller. The show centers around Bridget who, having lead a troubled life, takes over that of her rich twin sister Siobhan's after she mysteriously dies. Bridget soon finds that her sister's life is full of danger. Ringer will air on Tuesdays at 9:00 pm on CW.

2. New Girl
Zooey Deschanel stars as a woman who moves in with three single male roommates after a traumatic break-up. We love Zooey Deschanel here at ChickAdvisor so we're excited to see her in this brand new show. New Girl will be on every Tuesdays at 9:00pm on FOX.

3. A Gifted Man
A gifted surgeon's (Patrick Wilson) life suddenly changes when his ex-wife (Jennifer Ehle) dies and goes onto teach him about life from the beyond the grave. This seems like it will be an inspiring drama. If you're interested, watch it on Fridays at 8:00pm on CBS.T

4.
The X Factor
Simon Cowell is back! Not on American Idol though but on the X Factor. This is a singing competition with the winner walking away with 5 million dollars. This airs every Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8:00pm on FOX.
5. Charlie's Angels
This show is based on the 1970s classic series with Miami as the backdrop. Drew Barrymore is also in the project. She won't be appearing on screen though, as she'll be a producer to the series. Pretty cool huh? Charlie's Angels will air on Thursdays at 8:00pm on ABC.

Some returning favorites of mine that I am extremely excited about are:
1. How I Met Your Mother: Season 7
How I Met Your Mother is back! If you're not familiar with this comedy, here is a scope.  In the year 2030, an older Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) recounts to his son and daughter the events that led to his meeting their mother. How I Met Your Mother follows Ted alongside his friends Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan), Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel), Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), and Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris). Watch it every Monday at 8:00pm on CBS starting September 19th.

2. Two And A Half Men: Season 9
I'm sure after the whole Charlie Sheen Scandal, everyone is questioning if Ashton Kutcher can make the cut as the replacement on the show. Well, find out at 9:00pm on CBS every Monday starting September 19th. Two And A Half Men were originally focused on Charlie (played by Sheen) and his brother Alan (Jon Cryer). Alan was divorced and brought his son to live with Charlie. At the end of the last season, it showed Alan and his son, Jake moving on with their lives after the death of Charlie with help from their new roommate.

3.
Modern Family: Season 3
This mockumentary explores the many different types of a modern family through the stories of a gay couple, a straight couple with their three kids, and a multicultural couple and their son Manny. This show is hilarious and I think anyone who watches this - whether young or old - can appreciate the comedy and the dynamics between these families. Catch it on Wednesdays at 9:00pm on ABC.

4.
Glee: Seaon 3
I love the cast of Glee, I love the songs on Glee, and I just love Glee! That being said, this is the last season before many of the characters on the show graduates from High School. Glee airs every Tuesdays at 8:00pm on FOX starting September 20th.
5. The Big Bang Theory: Season 5
I would have to say this is my absolute favorite right now. This sitcom shows what happens when super-intelligent roommates/physicists Sheldon and Leonard meet Penny, a  beautiful woman moving in next door - only to realize they know next to nothing about life outside of the lab. Big Bang Theory is airing every Thursdays at 8:00pm on CBS.

After seeing this list, I realized I do watch quite a bit of TV! I guess I never realized until now!

I will definitely watch New Girl! I think it'll be so funny. And we LOVE The Big Bang Theory! I can't wait for that one to be back on. Always so hilarious! I like Grey's Anatomy but that one has gone downhill :(

I feel like I talk about Zooey Deschanel like WAY too much so I won't get into how much I adore her. Instead, I will talk about my love for BUFFFFFYYY! I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I can't wait for Sarah Michelle Gellar's return to TV! Can't wait to watch How I Met Your Mother too!
