These are all great tips. I have some old cook books that give the conversion table on they're inside covers, but not all of these are in them. Did you also know that when measuring out your ingredients its important to always use a liquid measuring cups for liquids and a dry measuring cups for your dry ingredients?? My mom never knew that until I told her last week. Know I know why her cooking was always so bad when we were kids.LOL
One thing about liquid measuring cups that I can never figure out is where the 1 1/4 cup mark is on mine because it just has lines on it.

Does anyone know witch line above the 1 cup mark is the right one for 1 1/4 cup??

@KatelynRose1984: the steak one is a poke test. First, arrange your right hand into the position(s) shown. Next, poke the base of your right thumb (the "chubby" part as pictured) with your left index finger. It will have a different firmness depending on the position used.

The next time you're cooking a steak, a poke test should give you a comparable firmness so you know if it's rare or medium or whatever. Does that make sense?

Maybe I'm the only one, but the Steak one is really confusing me! haha. I have no idea what they mean, and my boyfriend would probably laugh to kill himself at me trying to figure it out! Lol.

The fruit and veggie chart is really great, and the measuring comparisons is so helpful. Thanks!
