Gaga Poses for Vogue Japan in Raw Meat
Kooky hair, cyborg eyepatches? Tame. Bubble dresses and a white crown mask thingy? Starting to get interesting.
Let's do steak, shall we? Raw steak. Now that's different.
PETA is outraged of course. We're just trying to understand the message, if any.
What do you think of this cover? Do you find it intriguing, or are you done with Gaga?

LadyGaga needs to go take the Microbiology course I took last term...
@Rabby - I agree with that sentiment, but I have to wonder if that's even Gaga's agenda. She hasn't seemed to be very feminist thus far. I'd almost have to say the opposite is true - portraying herself as a Barbie toy to dress up and role play for the most part. Maybe she's being ironic, but I doubt most of her fans are of the type to analyze her songs and vids that are, at best, quite random.
I find Lady Gaga truly amusing on so many levels. She is doing what she needs to get peoples attention and this defiantly did that. That is how she makes money.
I HATE to say I can see a message: it's the viewing of woman as "a piece of meat". I think it's been poorly executed, though, and I wouldn't be surprised if the accompanying article didn't even touch on the concept. The worst part, though, is that her face looks terrible (her eyes look so crooked here; I don't mind my celebs photoshopped if that's what it takes to sell the magazine!) and so the meat is probably the most appealing part.
Haha! So ridiculous. At a glance I thought this was rose petals or something. So gross. Great shock value, that's forsure!
I'm a vegetarian so this simply scares me
Good Lord!I dont really have a comment just sitting here shaking my head. |
