Meet Mandy Fok - ChickAdvisor graphics guru, spunky worker bee at our events, and serious contender for 'Poser of the Year'. In fact, the only possible solution to showing up at work dressed in the same outfit as your boss was to make an in-office poll for Who Wore It Best, (aka The Pose-Off) don't you agree?

While you may not read much from her, Mandy is the one responsible for creating beautiful graphics for our site and generally spending her days making our lives easier. A wonderful arrangement, really :)

You always look so well put together. Give us a peek in your wardrobe?


Mandy
My wardrobe goes through many many different phases, and I think that my closet shows that. When I get really into a trend, I tend to go a little bit overboard. I went from pretty, frilly tops to high-waisted skirts [and everything in between], and now I'm really obsessed with power shoulder blazers, tops and dresses. I also go back to older trends and mix and match.

In terms of shoes, bags and my accessories, I'm always on the hunt. I enjoy classic Mary-Janes and peep-toes to trendy pieces like ankle booties and gladiators. Also, I rarely leave the house without a huge cocktail ring.

Fashion really is cyclical. What are some of your newest "old" favourites?

Mandy
I used to make fun of my mom for her large shoulder padded clothes... and now I can't get enough of [the trend]! Leather is another big thing. I used to think it was cheesy, but now it's all about leather leggings, pants, and jackets. My old self would probably make fun of how I dress now.

Who inspires your fashion?

Mandy
I've never really had one fashion icon. It changes from time to time. I find myself drawing inspirations from ordinary people. I'm on Internet all the time, and when I like the way someone dressed, I save the picture in my folder. I see people in the mall or on the streets and I'm making mental notes on what should be on my shopping list.

What is one of the highlights of your life?

Mandy
Since I'm really dependent - moving away from home, paying my own bills, finding my own place and job was a huge thing for me. I learned to be more independent and responsible.
