Godfrey Gao is the New Face of Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton has cast its first-ever Asian male spokesmodel: the scrumptious Godfrey Gao.  Here, have a drool:

Gao is a Tiawanese-Canadian actor (holla!), making some commentators wonder if this is Louis Vuitton's strategy to engage the rapidly growing Chinese male demographic in luxury goods.

Sure, maybe.  It certainly engages the female demographic, no?  But on a less shallow note (*ahem*), we're among those hoping this heralds the beginning of more diversity in fashion.

Do you agree?

I agree with the diversity question and whatnot, but have to admit - I just like looking at him! He's just the perfect kind of scruffy.... sigh

It's awesome to see them embracing diversity. And it's extremely important for them to do as there is a massive market for luxury goods in many Asian countries like Japan, China, Singapore, Korea, etc.

I like the jacket he's rockin in this add. I'm really into the rolled up sleeve and the laid-back yet tailer style.

Love it!! This gives the message that "fashion is for everyone" regardless of your colour/background or gender.
