I get a serious case of muteness or blabbermouth when talking to people (i.e. men) who are crazy good looking and/or extremely cool. So I feel like I would have a really hard time carrying on a conversation if I ever came in contact with either of these gorgeous guys for this week's Gratuitous Hottie Face Off. 

This week we're pitting the lovable James Franco against the sexy Ashton Kutcher. They'll go for three rounds in an intense battle and in the end, only one man will be left standing. Boys, start your engines! 

Round 1: Who has the better 'just rolled out of bed' look?

James Franco: I think James Franco is in a perpetual state of 'Woaaahhh, keep it down man, I just woke up!'; that being said, he does a pretty bang up job of keeping it together. Let's give him some credit though, the man is an actor and I am pretty sure countless other things- he's a tired guy and he is pretty slick when he needs to be. 

Ashton Kutcher: Ashton Kutcher is a pretty busy bee as well, with a TV show, movies and a production company, the man is all over the place. His go-to appearance is a knit beanie and a five o'clock shadow, so even though he may not have showered yet, let's face it- it works for him. 

Winner: I'm going with Ashton for this one. Both guys pull off a 'what this old thing, ya I hardly tried at all' type of vibe but I think Ashton does a better job. He looks polished and put together at any event- even with a bit of scruff. 
 
Round 2: Who would win in a 'Zoolander-esque' walk off?

James Franco: James Franco played James Dean in a movie so he has the aloofness of a male model down pat. I bet anything that he would work the runway with swag and grace. 

Ashton Kutcher: Ashton used to be a male model, so he definitely has an advantage in this round. Just check out the glamour shot of him above, all smouldering and brooding, the man's cheekbones were made to be modelled. 

Winner: Let's be specific here- this is a walk off challenge, not a male model challenge; so while I do think Ashton has the better face, when it comes down to the walk, it's all Franco here. Only James has those 'moves like Jagger' and can rock a runway with all the ease and confidence in the world. 

Round 3: Who makes us giggle with glee?

James Franco: Sure, Franco is a serious actor in dramatic productions like 127 Hours but where I really loved James was in films like Pineapple Express or Date Night. James Franco has the perfect blend of 'gee, shucks' and smart aleck comebacks, and I love a guy who makes me laugh.

Ashton Kutcher: Ashton Kutcher started in That 70's Show which solidified his funnyman status. I loved his goofy, lovable but oh so cute character! He has great timing and is a physical comedy genius. 

Winner: This one is a toughie, both these guys have equal claim to the funniest guy. For this round, I'm going to go with Kutcher because while Franco has some fab one liners, Ashton is the only one who can make me slip into a giggle fit!

 
So, this face off goes to Ashton Kutcher, congrats dude! You're a cool cat, the bee's knees, the cat's pajamas!
