I've said this to my fellow ChickStaffers but if it were up to me all Gratuitous Hottie Face Offs would be between Jon Hamm and Chris Hemsworth. Oh and of course, all time fave Jake Gyllenhaal would make an appearance. Reluctantly, I guess I will admit that this probably wouldn't be the best idea. After all, variety is the spice of life right? 

With that in mind, let em introduce you to this week's match up: Jon Hamm (of Mad Men and my fictional boyfriend fame) and Alex Pettyfer (of 'he made out with Vanessa Hudges in Beastly' fame). On the one hand we have the dapper, funny and confident Jon Hamm. On the other, we have the smoldering, male model-esque good looks of Alex Pettyfer. 

So, which one should win the title of 'Hottest Guy Ever'? To find out, we'll pit them against each other in three gruelling rounds, with only one man coming out on top. Good luck men and let the games begin! 

Round 1: Who looks better in the scruff? 


Alex Pettyfer (left): Alex doesn't look bad here, don't get me wrong but somehow this beard seems misplaced on him. Like he was growing it just to prove he could or something. Beards belong on men Alex, men. 
 
Jon Hamm (right): Obviously, if you've read any of the other Gratuitous Hotties you'll know how much I appreciate a hot man with a five o' clcok shadow. Jon is no exception. He is owning that beard right now. 

Winner: Jon, no contest. I actually looked it up and Alex is a year younger than I am. Younger! He has some growing up to do. 
 
Round 2: Who wore it better?


Alex: Way to step up the style game Alex! You are looking mighty fine in that three piece suit. I like that he paired two patterns here and wasn't afraid to go a little retro with it. Nice choice, you're looking fine! 

Jon: On Mad Men, Jon as Don (hehe it rhymes) always looks sleek and powerful in a well cut suit. I love the skinny tie, textured combo he is playing with in this photo. In my eyes, Jon, you can do no wrong. 

Winner: This was a tough call, but for sheer gutsiness, I have to go with Alex. Jon look crazy hot but I think Alex wins this round for his fresh take on a classic. 

Round 3: Young buck or silver fox?
 

Alex: Alex is a cutie alright, but for some reason, I could not find one picture of him smiling! Why the teen angst, Alex? Lighten up wouldya! Alex seems to have his intense gaze down pat but I can't help but think he takes himself way too seriously. Sure he's hot but would he make you laugh? 

Jon: Now Jon on the other hand, has the great ability to play both sexy, strong and silent as well as the light hearted goof. Isn't that the winning combination we all look for? I like to think his confidence comes from his years of experience...in being hot. 

Winner: Jon takes this one for sure. That smile just gets me every time. Makes me all gooey inside!

Big surprise chicks, Jon Hamm wins this face off by a landslide! I'm sorry but there are just very few men who can hold a candle too my fake bf Jon.
