Hair Extensions: Real or Fake?

Hair extensions have always been the easiest way for a girl to change her look instantly, but it's not an easy decision to make. There are human hair extensions, synthetic hair extensions, and clip-ins, all of which come with pros and cons.

Human Hair vs. Synthetic Hair
Extensions made of real human hair tend to last longer than synthetic hair. You can use a blow dryer, flat iron, or curling iron on human hair, but not with synthetic hair. Human hair can be colour treated, but synthetic hair can become severely damaged if dyed.
What's the catch??
Human hair extensions range in price from $200 to $700 depending on quality and length. Synthetic hair extensions will only set you back between $80 and $400.

If you want to avoid the bonding and glue that comes along with hair extensions and the dent it will create in your wallet, then clip-ins are a better option. Synthetic hair clip-ins range from as low as $10 up to about $90. Human hair clip-ins are, once again, more expensive from $60 to $250.
Clips ins are simple as you just clip them to your roots in the desired place. You can buy one large piece or several smaller pieces. Jessica Simpson released her own line of clip-in hair extensions and one of our members tried them out. See what she had to say about it!
What's your preference: human or synthetic? Or do you keep things natural?
