Hair Trend: Will You Try Blunt Bangs?

Bangs worn bold are dramatic and edgy, and we think the fringe is a perfect fallback look for Autumn.

Fashion designers are the best at forecasting trends, and for their Fall/Winter 2010 RTW runway shows, many styled their models with these fierce fringes...
Jen Kao, L.A.M.B., Lanvin

Plenty of celebrities have dabbled with blunt bangs...
Ciara, Lady GaGa, Naomi Campbell

The look suits women with long faces or large foreheads...
Tyra Banks, Christina Ricci

...and can give a youthful pep to other faces.
Rachel Bilson, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton

Fringes don't suit everyone, so think carefully before cutting them. They require regular trimming to maintain the style, and they shouldn't hide your face or your favourite features...
Jessica Alba, Rihanna

But the good thing about them is that they grow out eventually, and unlike hair colour it's a change that won't damage your hair whatsoever.

Will you go bold and get blunt bangs?

I had a pretty big craving this morning to give myself bangs again, but I decided I should wait a week to see if I still think it's a good idea. I love the look but when you decide you want to grown them out I hate that awkward in-between stage.

I cut my own blunt bangs before... my ex freaked out cause i didn't tell him before i did it haha. but at least they were long enough to shape into side bangs when i needed it to :P will post a picture later if i find one haha

not a good idea to cut your own bangs, but i have to say, a lot of times the stylists are bad at it too. so if you're gonna go for it, defs go for a professional!

Every time I look at those I feel like moving their hair out of their eyes. Paris looks like she has a chilly bowl hair! I think I prefer the long hair though, like Kim's and Lady Gaga's.

I have a very short forehead so bangs haven't really looked too great on me, but I would love to be able to have them. Maybe more subtle bangs and not anything like those.

I had my hair done like that about ten years ago, but I can't see me doing it again.
My hair is very long and grows very slowly. It took a good six years for it to grow back to the same length as the rest of my hair.
I also find it tends to look better on younger woman, or just a few face shapes, but that's just me.
