It's 2012, chicks and we want to wish you a happy new year!

This past year has seen a ton of changes and we're so happy you've all been here to share the ride with us. On a personal level, 2011 had a ton in store for us, and we are sure that it did for you too. We have a forum on everyone's experiences in 2011 and we invite you to discuss and share with us!

From the business side, 2011 also saw a brand spankin' new ChickAdvisor and we're loving all your feedback on the site!

We leave you with our New Year's Resolutions, we hope that you leave us a comment with your own resolutions!

Mandy: My resolution is to better manage my finance. My goal is to save every month. I do have a habit of saving but usually it's going towards purchasing a certain item. This time, I just want to get into to the habit of saving and not spending on things I don't absolutely need. Also, to clean out all the extra stuff I have (clothes, makeup, miscellaneous etc.). Keep the items that I'll actually use and make a conscious effort to actually wear/use them and donate the rest.

Alexandra: I want to take better care of myself, in every sense of the word. I tend to think that 'taking care of oneself' means buying a new lipstick, but this year I want to replace that impulse to pamper with an impulse to better myself, physically and mentally.

Michelle: Mine has always been to stretch more. It's great for you to keep fit and de-stress, but I never stretch nearly as much as I need and want to. Come on 2012!

Shiori: Clean out and organize my overflowing closet of things I never wear and avoid impulse purchases. That and start going to the gym again (but we all know that doesn't last for long).

Claire: To give myself permission to relax more often - a working mom always feels she has to do it all, and that really isn't true.  Also, to realize that "relax more often" does not include wearing pajama bottoms when waiting at the bus stop with my kids in the mornings.  You have to draw the line somewhere.

Ali: To only buy what is absolutely necessary and to always choose quality over quantity.  I have a serious closet shortage in my house and I spend a lot of time bagging things up for donation.  I don't have a ton of clothes but I'd rather have less and buy things that will last and are timeless. That also frees up more cash I'm not spending on impulse purchases to help worthy causes.

My New Years Resolution is to shed the last bit of weight to my goal weight. A year and a half ago I was about 350 lbs. I've lost about 110 pounds and I've got a bit to go. 2012 is my year. :)

Happy New Year to all the lovely ladies at Chick Advisor!

Happy New Year Ladies!!

I love all all your Resolutions and will be trying to do a few of the same for my self and my family.

First off is to watch our money a little better and try and get more
bills paid off. Next would be to get rid of all the things in my house
that we don't need, or use any more and donate those things to the
Canadian Diabetes. They're always happy to take things off my
hands and they make sure that someone that can really use it gets it.
One of my biggest ones would have to be my health and finding a better
Dr that can possibly help me better deal with the health problems that I
have now and prevent more from happening. But my most important one of
all I think will be to open my eye's a little more and really see whats
going on around me. Give that lady/man in front of me the extra ten cent
she/he can't find when I'm at a check out, or hold the door for
her/him. When I see someone is down give them a simple smile and say
something nice. I know our words can do more for others then we think
they can because I've seen how much a kind word can do for someone
that's down. It doesn't coast us a thing to just be kind to one another,
so I'm going to try and do more of that this year.I hope everyone has a
great 2012!!
