Hot Accessory Trend Alert: Trilby Hats
Big floppy hats made a big bang during the late '60s, but the trilby has been around since the '20s! Initially mostly worn by men, it has since gained popularity with the ladies, though you may still have to contend with a boy wanting to borrow yours. The trilby resembles, and is often confused with, the fedora, but basically the trilby has a slightly smaller brim.
This season, we're loving the trilby to finish simple spring outfits. Pair your trilby with jeans and a Tee for boyish-charm or wear it with a light summer dress to add some playfulness to a feminine frock.

I've been hat focused lately. I've been looking for great hat lines to depend on, but it seems it's just kind of hit or miss. Target was my hat shopping irish charm last year. This year, I have found nothing! I saw a few in Forever21 this past weekend, but too flemsy for me.
I've been obsessing over hats lately. Every store I go into seems to have hats as part of their accessory line, and I just can't help but try them all on. I'm trying my best not to spend all my money!
I fell in love with these hats last summer and searched high and low for a cute straw hat. The one I got looks a lot like #14, and after all my searching I actually spotted it at Sears. Never doubt department stores, sometimes they have exactly what you're looking for. And it was only $6!
This is my favourite hat type. I especially love these in white, black or gray.
I love trilby hats! My top pick is #13.
I like the straw ones, the Topshop one is my favourite!
I love the Zara Raffia with the black, blue and green band, its a way to do bold colour but not feel overpowered. |
