Mustard yellow might not be everyone's cup of tea. But it made a splash on the runways, and we don't want to wait until spring to try the look!

We've seen chic celebrities wear dresses and gowns in this mustard shade before...

Rihanna, Natalie Portman, Diane Kruger

And the vibrant, cheerful colour was repeated over and over again on the runway during the Spring/Summer 2011 RTW Fashion Weeks.

Moschino, Marios Schwab, Matthew Williamson

Here are some options to get your shopping wheels turning...
Alloy Boyfriend Pocket Cardigan US$25, Autumn Cashmere Cable Knit Blazer US$231
Alloy V-Neck Dolman US$26, See By Chloe Silk Blend Turtle Neck Sweater US$74
Forever 21 Classic Corduroy Pants US$15, Charlotte Russe Solid Footed Tights $8, Forever 21 Scarf and Gloves US$7.50
Hype Mustard Orion Coat Dress US$95, Steve Madden Toggle Coat US$108

Do mustard yellow coloured clothes make your list of fall must-haves?

I love this colour, but it's really not my colour! I'd have to do something like Natalie Portman and wear a cardigan or something to separate the colour from my face, other wise I look really washed out! But I absolutely love the V-neck dolman sweater!

Curlysue, you know I have secretly loved Dwight Schrute for years, right? The episode with the unicorn barbie doll killed me.

MissLissa, I think this colour looks best on very pale or dark skin. It's such a great contrast. I agree medium skin tones may be a bit harder to pull off.

Miss K, that sounds adorable. I too get the most compliments when I wear a strong colour. For example my pink dress! I was nervous to wear it but got so many compliments on it!

Keeping it up, on the other hand was another issue. Stupid strapless!

I have a pair of mustard yellow cords from Old Navy - super comfortable and I even got away with wearing them to the office.
Everyone complimented me on the unusual combination (mustard yellow pants, black v-neck sweater and cream coloured shirt with a collar that ties in a bow, black oxford heels) - I thought it was very retro looking and the bright colour pants made me smile all day!

Although it's a beautiful colour I don't think it would look too nice on me. I feel like maybe it will make me look jaundice

Ah ha ha ha Ali, Dwight Schrute, you're hilarious!

When I was a kid I had a doll decked out in a black polka dot dress and mustard yellow tights ... and I had her exact outfit to match. Good to see the trend is coming back ha ha .. I have always liked this colour. I especially like the Alloy V-neck
